Today is my mother's birthday. She would have been 52 years old. I wish I could pick up the phone and call her just to say "I love you". I would give anything in the world for my two daughters to talk, laugh, and play with their grandmother. I know she is still here with me but it is just not the same.
I love you Mom! Happy Birthday!! I miss you soo much!
Last Friday (May 16th) my horse, Jim, had a pretty intersting accident. Bill (the guy that owns the property where Jim is staying) went out to feed the horse and the cows. He gave Jim some oats then continued his way across the wooden bridge to feed the cows. After Jim was done eating his oats, he took off at a full gallop towards the herd. As he turned to cross the bridge, his feet came out from underneath him and he fell on his side. Jim tried to get back up and when he did, he fell off the bridge into the creek below. Bill ran down to the creek to keep his head above the water when Jim got his footing, stood up, shook himself off, then took off at a gallop again to find his favorite calf. Bill watched him for a good hour to make sure he was alright. There was no limp on him or anything. My horse is very lucky to have come out of that situation with just a bruised ego.
I cannot believe it's been four years already! On this day, in 2004, my husband, Keven, and I said our "I do's". Since then, our lives have been on a rollercoaster ride.....going through the ups and downs of a typical relationship. We have survived the trials of Post-Tramatic Stress (from the 1st deployment), the death of our 1st baby, four times I have almost died, moving from one post to another, birthdays, anniversaries, the birth of our two daughters, another deployment, a few extra unexpected detours in life, etc. But in the end, I would not trade it for anything in the world. I love everything I have. I have worked hard for it and I will continue to do so.
Okay, when I woke up this morning, we had about a foot and a half of snow on the ground. Well, the snow has continued. It has not stopped all day long. What the hell!? I thought it was spring? lol Well, someone needs to come and tell ol' man winter to get the hell outta here! I am ready for summer. It has snowed so much last night and today, that the canopy in the backyard actually collapsed! haha

Well, in a few days, my car will be here in town. I am so excited. My mother-in-law and her boyfriend left today to go get the car. Unfortunetly, when it gets here, it has to go right into the shop to have a new engine put it, but that's no biggie. My husband is really excited to see the car when he comes home from Iraq. WOO-HOO!
